nVent SCHROFF Support Arms Available for Monitors With or Without Keyboard and Mouse
LONDON–June 15, 2021– nVent Electric plc (NYSE:NVT) (“nVent”), a global leader in electrical connection and protection solutions, today introduced two new support arms for nVent SCHROFF Novastar and Varistar electronics cabinet platforms.
Ideal for test and measurement applications, these support arms are available for a keyboard, video monitor and mouse, or monitor only. Both models provide superior flexibility with generous rotation, pivoting, tilting and positioning ranges. When not in use, the monitor arm can collapse to a depth of five inches, fitting alongside the cabinet panel to save space.
“In research institutes or laboratory settings, operators frequently interact with electronics housed in cabinets,” says Pradipto Bhowmick, nVent product manager for electronics cabinets. “nVent SCHROFF’s new support arms provide operators with flexibility and functionality, enabling them to comfortably and effectively do their jobs.”
The two support arm models are primarily made from steel and aluminum, and are compatible with nVent SCHROFF Novastar and Varistar electronics cabinets. For Novastar cabinets, the robust bracket secures easily to the cabinet frame, while the Varistar support arm secures to the side panel; both models can be retrofitted as needed.
The two designs feature joints which provide several options for positioning (arm rotation 180° or panorama adjustment 90° to the right and left), pivoting (+65° upward and -30° downward) and tilting to provide an ideal work position for both portrait and landscape displays. Even with this range of motion, cables are protected and organized thanks to integrated cable ducting within the support arm.
The monitor-only support can accommodate monitors up to 24 inches and can support a maximum weight of 8 kg. The support arm for monitor and keyboard is designed for monitors up to 27 inches and a maximum weight of 10 kg. The attachment of the monitors to the support is standardized by VESA MIS-D, with attachment points of 100x100 mm and 75 x75 mm.
